Pretty much all of you own a car or truck that you can pump a full tank of gas into, in less than 3 minutes.

On my Bronco..it takes roughly 30 minutes to pump in 3/4 a tank of gas (roughly 20 gallons).
It will do the whole "clicking" number, acting like it's full of gas (not enough air is escaping when replaced by fuel)

I usually don't mind it in the summer. But in the winter, such as tonight with heavy snowflakes falling, it just SUCKS!

Okay there is my daily complain smiley_smartass.gif

Fix the vent? Takes about 10 minutes, usually.

It does sound like you have a vent problem.

Never had that problem with my 92 Bronco.....

Now the F250 had that problem & Ford had to drop the tank & "fix" the vent twice....

Vent tube is INSIDE the gas inlet tube - clearly a smart guy at ford is the reason for my problem.

I had plans this summer to fix it by installinga Y pipe into the gas tank. Bottom point of the Y goes into the gas tank, the top point of the Y goes to the filler tube, and the 2nd top of the Y goes to the gas cap area, with a plug. Hopefully that will fix my issue.

The tube I think is fine. I had no problem pumping gas when I was in the high country (above 7k feet). And very rare, but sometimes I can pump a full tank of gas into the tank when here in the city. Again, very very rare when that happens.

I don't mind it in the summer time, as it's nice and gives me a moment to enjoy the nice weather. But when it's 30 degrees with a 0 degree wind chill..standing outside for 30min with no gloves on suchs laugh.gif

Probably the gas station.. but like I said, it's very rare. When I lived up north, I would always go to 7-11 around 2am (no one there) and half the time, it'd take 30-45 min to fill up..other nights it'd take 2-4 minutes to fill up, on the same pump. Pretty sure it's the truck.

Just had this issue last night, may seem dumb, but were you holding the handle all the way, let up on the pressure and fill it slowly...worked for me.
