I might run down to the gun show tomorrow to pick upsome powder an primers. What do you guys recommend. Primers are large pistol, right?

For 10mm, I like Power Pistol. It's not the highest octane powder of all in 10, but it makes a nice fierce round and it meters VERY well from my Hornady measure. I also like Power Pistol because it gives me great accuracy in this round and I use it with success in 9 and .38 Special, too.

I've used other powders in 10, but right now me & Power Pistol get along very, very well. I won't recommend others because this info is easy to find and other people have more experience with different powders for 10mm.

In primers, I always buy CCI non-magnum whenever I find a price I can deal with. I don't think they are any better in performance than anyone else, but that's what I started with 20 years ago, so that's my first choice when I'm buying. And though I've used others with success, I like CCI's nickel plated primers over the brass colored one from other makers (old Fed and current Winchester come to mind) because they slide easier in my priming setup's feed mechanism. I can get the others to work, but the slick CCI primers are smoother for me, so they are my favorite.

But if the price is right, I'll try any piece 'o crap they sling across the counter! animlol.gif

And one thing I recommend over ALL other advice is to use your vote WISELY when you shop, especially at the gun shows where so many dealers compete and some of them wiggle on price. If you pay some horribly inflated price just because you REALLY GOTTA HAVE IT, that's laying down your vote for sick, stupid and asinine prices. Don't let them set the market-- we set the market when we agree to pay the price.

Demand a reasonable price!

Hope that helps a bit.

I use Ramshot True Blue with 135 grain Berry's plated or Accurate #7 with 155 grain plated for target loads.

I always buy CCI non-magnum,alot of reloaders like to use the Magnum priemers in the 10MM,when infact post of the powders that can be used in the 10MM dont need Magnum primers. That's what I started with 25 years ago, so that's my first choice , Ive never had one not go off. But ive had some Winchester Large pistol not fire in my Glock 20
