I was going to post up these pics in the coyote calling thread but I figured I would not hijack it as I believe the intent was to talk about calling.

More to follow.

I will start off with some unfortunate pics. The short version is I punched a dog and balled him up with a .308. Damned if he did not get up and take off on three legs. I tracked him for over two hours. I have no idea how he kept going. It was obvious he was losing a lot of blood and only using three legs. Tough animals. It is nobodys fault but my own, he was further out there than I realized and I believe I hit him low. Not the gun, bullet, cartridge or anyones fault but my own. Sadly I never recovered him.

I was hunting with a newer rifle which I had never killed a coyote with. It just did not work out that day. It was a beautiful day though.

Without a doubt, my most favorite picture ever. My baby girl, just 2 months past her 5th birthday hunting with her daddy. She was a proud baby when we bagged these dogs.

those are awsume pics. beautiful country and dogs. i does suck not finding them. i blew the front left leg off a yote years ago with a 220 swift, it was a sunday morning. i dropped it cold ,so i thought. it fell on the other side of a little hump in the field and we just started the hunt. i left it till we where done with the hunt. when i went to get it all that was there was the upper portion of the left leg and lots of blood. we tracked it into a timber and realized it was just doing circles around us. this was a sunday, i ended up calling it back in on the following thursday and killed it. they are very tough critters.
