Folks the craziness must be dying, 8 week turn around for my last Form 1.
Mailed the paperwork in on 8/22/09
Funds transferred into the ATF account 09/01/09
Form 1 went pending 09/24/09
Form 1 with stamp delivered to my mailbox on 10/30/09

Was your Form 1 signed by the CLEO in your area or did you go the Trust route?
I went through the Chief of Police for both of mine. My first Form 1 I sent out in January 2009 and got it back in July 2009. My second one I sent out in early August 2009 and haven't gotten anything back to date.
I think I'm going to look into setting up a Tust so I don't have to keep going through the Chief, fingerprints, and background check.

Trust is the only way to go, after reading about how you can legally have co-trustees and heirs on them made the decision for me pretty darn fast. Here is a Trust by a legal firm and it is not just a net written one. LINK

When you do a Form 1 with a trust, you just put 'NO' for everything in section 10, because obviously the trust can't be an illegal alien or a mentally incompetent right? But I know you can't just leave those blank. They need to make a Trust specific version of Form 1 that doesn't have dumb crap in it.

Well just got ahold of the BATFE on my Form 1's, yep they are lazy they said they are still pending and thats all they will tell me. Oh well guess itll be next year before they get done. 3+ months so far on a trust :(

Well the one I mailed in August finally arrived today, and not to my surprise it was reassigned to another examiner (explains why I got it befire Christmas) That means my other one should arrive this week or next roughly.
