Obama responded: " No, but -- but, George, you -- you can't just make up that language and decide that that's called a tax increase."

When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves; and, under the rule of a just God, cannot long retain it.

Squeeze until the weapon jumps in recoil.
The exact instant the trigger breaks over and the shot is fired should be bit of a surprise…

Here in General Talk there is no old guy-new guy distinction in regards to posting. By that I mean feel free to jump in in any thread or conversation. You won't be treated poorly because you're new. The only exception is if the code of conduct is broken. So please, jump in and get involved.

Hello,

This is my first post on this site. I have been looking for a good site to discuss and learn about AR-15's etc. and this looks like the best I have seen. I have only recently been getting back into AR-15 type rifles. I owned one many years ago, before the Asault weapons BAN, It was a Colt HB, but I didn't like that particular one all that much and sold it, to raise money for an old jeep I wanted at the time.

Now, many years later, I have decided to add a couple to my gun rack, while I still can. But I can see I have quite a bit to learn, with all of the options and gear available that didn't exist, years ago.

Thank you, for providing such a fine place, to come and enjoy.

Hi, I'm new to the site, but am interested in hearing what you guys have to say. Motivation for my interest in gun information is the overwhelming support for Obama, which worries me... I'd like to possibly learn about what are/is the best gun for a new gun owner. I have never shot a gun, but I am also not afraid to, nor am I nervous. I'd do anything to protect myself and my significant others. I figured I should take advantage of the fact that guns are not entirely banned or removed from homes. So if you guys have any suggestions as to what I should check out, let me know.

Thanks tf.gif
