Well I use regular Hoppes gun oil, and very sparingly! I was always tolded a little oil will scare anything to death! You do not need all that fancy, synthetic, expensive, crap period! Most people use too much oil anyway and in cold climates it will freeze up!

I clean my stuff after each outing, removing residue, scrub the bore with a patch wrapped around bore brush and a few drops of Hoppes #9 on the patch. Using a patch will catch all the crud as it is pulled through the bore.

Good luck with yours!

For bore cleaning I used Montana Extreme, Shooters Choice, Butch's Bore Shine or Hoppes #9. which ever is cheapest. For overall lubrication/protectant I use Corrosion X. When I need a grease I go with high temp bearing grease from the auto parts store. The Corrosion X is the best thing going IMO.

I've taken firearms right out of the box, cleaned them off inside and out with brake cleaner, applied Corrosion X to all surfaces including the bore and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wipe it all down with a dry cloth and or patches, reassemble and hit the range. When I get home a dry cloth and patches petty much wipes everything as clean as if it had never been fired. A little Corrosion X on a patch down the bore and she's good to go.

Weapons Shield. The new product from George since the hostile take over of his former product FP-10. Also have used Militec-1, gun butter, slip 2000 and others. I had used shooters choice FP-10 once....I will never use it again in cold weather.

I'm using Weapons Shield too. A buddy of mine gave me a couple containers of it, and the stuff really seems to do the job for lubrication. Don't need much of it either!

I recently found weapon shield also and like it. I have found that the combination of Prolix with weapon shield works great for me.

If less than 200 rounds at the range:
1) Liberal use of WD40.
2) MILTEC

If more than 200 rounds at the range:
1) SWEETS 7.62
2) Liberal use of WD40
3) MILTEC

MILTEC= astroglide for guns.

Look up www.Strongarmsprays.com
Best lub and rust preventive I've found in 50 years. Guns work smoother and stay cleaner longer.

Use this on all my guns and the special guns semi auto and 1,000 yd sniper Savage. Stops rust and the gunshops are selling it with each new gun and see a lot of repeat business. Couldn't be happier with a product.
