Yea, it was on strobe when I caught that guy trying to break in my car, but like I said, its not bad from behind it. Its the other end thats bad.

I have the TA21, the TA20 is the one with only 4 settings. I will probably end up getting the TA20 and putting it on my rifle though. I will agree that 12 is just too many settings for a flashlight on a defensive rifle.

I was actually thinking about putting some sort of textured surface on the switch, and the flashlight, so that when the line up, it would be on the bright solid beam. That way I could make sure it was on that if I was in the dark. And from there, its one click counter clock wise to get strobe. Like all things, if you train with it and get used to it, then you can use it fine. The textured surface would be needed though, so you would have a point of reference.

Sounds good, I will try to get some photos up when I get a chance.

Cool deal.

How far does the Elzetta throw? I have a Streamlight Super Tac, and this thing is amazing. Its only rated at 135 lumens, but throw alot further than the 225 lumen Fenix. And it makes the Surefire G2 look like a toy.

Night shooting is fun. We always go to my friends property and look for coyotes all night. Ever since then I refuse to use anything but an LED light. The regular ones burn through batteries too fast.

everyone,
we are looking into the Fenix and the Elzetta weapon lights as a new addition to our shop. Which does everyone perfer or work the best? We already carry Streamlight and are in the process of carrying Surefire. We as every other fun shop want a good, reasonably priced alternative for our customers. Thank you to the OP for starting this thread and beating me to it! I like the Elzetta M60 and the Fenix line and am torn between the two,I would also like to see someone that has the equipment do a comparison of the products.

Ive never used an Elzetta. So I couldnt comment on those, but I love my Fenix. For the price, it cant be beat either. Especially with all the features it has.

Fenix lights are made in china. thumbdown.gif
Here is a photo from their website of their slaves employees posing in front their sweatshop factory and statue of their communist leader.

Yea, I like the Fenix light, but I would like it even more if it was made in the USA. I wish an American company would make lights with all the features of the Fenix ones, and in the same price range.

Dont judge it on the fact thats its made in China though, its still a high quality light.

The reason I like the strobe is because it is very nauseating to look at. Because of this pointing it at someone could "disable" them for a short period of time.

Anything over 200 lumens in my eyes is nauseating. You have to keep in mind that the light is useful to the operator too. If I am using a light to illuminate a person, I want to have a perfect view at all times, and not become disorientated myself by the strobe action.

Just my 2 cents.

Clear your home just like you would with a bad guy, set up a few paper plates as a head in different locations, try setting one up in front of a window & the bathroom mirror....

Sometimes super bright is not good & can actually be a bad thing.....

A nice thing about the low power LED's on the Surefire's. You have the option to go with the main light or the LED's. (But damn are those things expensive).

For house clearing a G2L is enough light. I'm not knocking any other light. I will say that if a BG gets lit by my light he will be getting sick from lead, not light. In most states that isn't a good option, or at least the best option legally.
