My mom is a super left handed person as in she can't do much right handed. I want to get her a left handed piston AR and have a budget of $1700. Right now I'm looking at the Stag Piston Left Hand while adding a Norgon Ambi-Catch, Ambi Selector, Armadynamics ACLM,Ergo Suregrip, B.A.D. lever, and hopefully a SOPMOD (depending on cash will go with the EMOD or ACS). She's got an EOTech 517 waiting and will use this as a primary go to home/personal defense weapon. She has a mini ranch but can't shoot it very well since the shells wack her in the face.

I would not use the Stagg, I would go with the Addax Lefty.

while adding a Norgon Ambi-Catch,

She doesn't need that, so that would save some money.

Ambi Selector,

Get the LMT, never had a single problem with those.

Armadynamics ACLM

I like that one, I have two and they do work, you could save a little money and go this route instead.
Phase 5

Ergo Suregrip

Good choice as well.

B.A.D. lever

Phase 5 here as well

I would not even consider the EMOD or ACS, you have chosen the best so no use to even think of going backwards.

Ok, you shot down Stag pretty quickly, may I ask why? Is this just because they just came out with the gas piston upper or just an all around "no go" on Stag?

Also, where do I find this phantom LH Addax tactical upper? I am always in the market for lefty equipment but can't seem to find anything like this on their site. Would love to find out more. Thanks.

If I was getting a DI lefty, it would be Stag no question. If it was a GPU lefty, it would be Addax. I believe Addax uses the Stag left hand upper for it's GPU build.

Callo Addax and ask them about the lefty.

That makes sense and great tip. This may mean that I can now pick any barrel that addax offers for my lefty builds. I just got an erection.

Yes. I want a left hand 6.8 GPU for my next gun. I wonder if that is available.

Exactly what I had in mind but DI. Building a long distance small game rifle (yotes, hoggs, and deer), need the accuracy.

List looks pretty good other than the BCG catch, look Here

I think your Mom would be happier with the EBRv2
