Lefty here as well. There have been a few times that I've been happy to have the shell deflector, lol.

I'm a lefty, and have put up with righty rifles up until now. I'm considering a left-handed mag release and selector lever on my first build.

Pretty sure those exist!

You do not a lefty mag release, you can hold the rifle with your left hand and work the Mag release much easier with your right hand.
Ambi Selector Yes that is to me the most important accessory.

There is a left hand mag release modification available. The Norgon Ambi-catch. I have one and like it. Ambi selector is on all my rifles.

Nope, I don't -need- it (I just reach across with the right; I'm using it to grab the mag anyway!), but I was interested in trying it out.

The selector lever is what really gets me, but that's an easy fix and I'm thinking about other little things that irk me

I am a terminal lefty.
I prefer to shoot "right handed" weapons. It is easier to operate the bolt and charging handle on rifles and the cylinder release on revolvers with the right hand. As for semi auto pistols I use my trigger finger to release the mags.
I had to get a shell deflector for my Colt SP1 but the receiver mounted one on my Bushmaster works just fine. Mag changes are easier on the AR 15 using the right hand too.
Now if I could just find a left handed claw hammer I'd be all set.

Nope, I don't -need- it (I just bring the left index finger out of the trigger well and up or reach across with the right; I'm using it to grab the mag anyway!), but I was interested in trying it out.

Dang you have a long finger. laugh.gif
