That is bad ass. I need to find something like that for sure. I only wish I had the balls to carry something like that public. Well...actually I think that'd be illegal here in california Not sure though. I need to get out of here.

if you notice the way the 550 loops are runnin it's setup so I can carry it down or across belt, that helps when you don't want it seen, but it's damned long the handle pokes out my right side about an inch so a jacket is necessary which means I don't carry it in the summer, that task falls to My second fav carry which has been damaging pockets since I got it until I found out it'll fit in a magazine pouch quite nicely smiley_smartass.gif

My tracker got here today. The three on the right are my daily carriers. It depends on where we are going.

Picked it up at a gun show for $25. The boot knife was another one I got at a gun show for $15. Good deals.

I love my Kabar folder. Carry that quite a bit.

The Tracker is different. Even though I read all the spec's and stuff, it seems a little short. The blade seems like it should be about an inch longer. It has a good weight and good feel to it though.

Thanks for the tip. I put some Amsoil metal protectant (spray synthetic lube) on the exposed parts of the steel last night.

One of these days I'll break out everything and take a pic of the whole collection. Mostly cheap crap from when I was a kid. Some antique pocket knives and collectors. None of which are worth anything, but they might be one day.

Later,

Steve

Just figured I would post a knife and sheath that I made several years ago. I am no bladesmith, but I do enjoy pounding out the odd knife from railroad spikes.

Cool, I have seen quite a few knives made out of rr spikes. We used to make them outta files and metal cutting saw blades. I will have to take some pics of my blades.

My oldest knife.

Found on the banks of the Minnesota River near Mankato.

Tree, I like that knife of yours on the bottom. It looks like it handles well.

Here are some pics of my wootz/Damascus pocket knife.

That is actually a Rambo III replica. (Hibben) The handle is a little small, but not uncomfortable. Not much finesse there, just a hacker.

It's handle looks like it has that "gladius" style hold to it that makes it easy to get through tough stuff without slipping.

from left to right

some crappy 8$ kinfe i got to beat on, it actually holds an edge, and i can lose it and not care, or open metal cans, or hammer nails in, or whatever i want. i dont carry it or trust my life with it, but i dont see a need to dull my other knives with chores around the house.

crkt m16-13z spear point semi serrated
good knife, carry as a back up sometimes

crkt m16-10kz tanto semi serrated
newest, also carry as a back up sometimes

2x emerson karambit's, tanto and bullnoes
i carry one in each pocket, well use too, i have since replaced them with knives that didnt cost over 175 a piece incase i lose them. i do carry them sometimes still when i travel into towns with more strict blande length laws

2x kershaw leeks
assisted open, ones plain finish, second is titanium. i carry these as back ups as well, but again, some towns i travel too have banned assisted knives.

2x crkt m16-14sfa tanto semi serrated
i carry both of these usually, to work, anywhere i can. i'd trust my life to almost any of the knives i carry, but id rather have these.

so usually have have a right and left pocket crkt or emerson, and a back up in my belt. always 3, you can never be to prepared.

for my birthday i hope to be getting 2 new sog tridents to replace my crkt's as daily carries. then id like some benchmades, gerbers, and a few syperco's. but alas, i have not the money for them, yet.
