My new "Cuda" holster from Simply Rugged Holsters ( http://www.simplyrugged.com/ ) arrived today. I own a couple other holsters from them and their name says it all, they're simply designed and rugged in their construction. This newest holster is built for my Smith 1026, but works great with the 1076 also. smile.gif

XTrooper, looks like a well-made rig. I take it, this is their "fish-scale" pattern. I'm looking for a holster for my Lew Horton. I was considering El Paso Saddlery, or J. W. O'Rourke Leather Products, but maybe these guys could be the ticket. The "Loaded Pancake" looks interesting.

XTrooper,

That's a very nice holster! As you probably know, one cannot just walk in to a gun shop and and get a holster for a 10mm S&W (and made for a lefty).
Thanks for posting a link, I took a quick look at their website and I am going to order a holster for my 1006. I've been looking for one for a while and I think you helped me solve that.

Zephyr One/Zero: Yes, it's their fishscale pattern, my personal favorite. smile.gif

BTW, the first holster I ordered from Simply Rugged was for my 3" Lew Horton Model 24-3. It sold me on them and I've been a customer ever since.

gene(10)mm: Over the last 35+ years, the majority of my gun leather has been from El Paso Saddlery and still today most of it is. However, for carrying a pistol like the 1026 et al, Simply Rugged is the only way to go, in my opinion. Making holsters for big, heavy handguns is Simply Rugged's specialty and their holsters do an outstanding job of it. Their heavily-constructed paddle holsters carry your weapon tight against your body and actually make it comfortable to wear a hefty, all-steel pistol like the Smith 3rd Gens or a big revolver. Simply Rugged is the only holster brand I use for heavy handguns since I discovered them a couple of years ago.

Two other points worth mentioning. Simply Rugged's prices are a real bargain and their current turnaround time is two weeks or less. Cheap and fast! It doesn't get much better than that! thumb.gif

XTrooper,
Ordered my holster last monday, it came today smile.gif I'm very happy with it, in fact I'm going to order a couple more for pistols I don't have holsters for. The craftsmanship is first class, at the risk of sounding cliche, the holster fits like the pistol was poured into it.

Absolutely. They're the only holsters I've found I can comfortably carry my big, heavy pistols and revolvers in. They keep your handgun tight against your body which really helps when you're carrying a pistol like the hefty 1026.
