The wife and I are getting away for a long awaited trip by ourselves this weekend. We are staying in a nice cabin near Logan Ohio in the hocking hills area. When we usually go we are camping and stay in the state park and just cook our meals at the campsite. I would like to take her out to dinner at least one night while we are there. Does anyone have any restaurant suggestions for Logan or the surrounding area?

Just checking on the web I have found Jack's Steakhouse which looks decent as well as a few other restaurants. Any help will be appreciated. We don't get away from the rug rats as often as we would like to so I want to enjoy as much of our time as we can.

Thanks

Yeah, we love that part of the state. We camp at Old Mans Cave state park several times a year.

Thanks Steve, I will remember both of those places. We had a great time. We actually just decided to eat all of our meals at the cabin. We made a trip to Krogers. Picked up all the food we needed including some great steaks and just spent our time enjoying the quiet woods instead of listening to a crowded restaurant. It was a great weekend. The cabin we stayed in was awesome. A little pricey but well worth it since we hadn't been alone together away from home for quite awhile.

My wife and I did the same thing this spring, down at Lake Hope. Seeing this old post has me thinking about going back during the winter months. Maybe after deer season is over they'll have some open cabins. It sure is a great get-a-way!

I have been thinking the same thing lately. We need another weekend away. Nice cabin, fireplace, no kids and peace and quiet would be a nice change of pace.

If you can get over to Nelsonville, there is a restaurant there that is (used to be) staffed by students from the Culinary School at Hocking College. It is Rhapsody Music and Dining, 18 Public Square, Nelsonville, 740-753-5740 only open Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. Food quality and service is top shelf and a great place to take that special lady in your life cool.gif .
