The lower handguard on my SAR-1 measures 6-1/16", not including the flange areas that slip into the receiver and front cap.

Mine looks like 6 7/16" from the front of the receiver to the rear edge of the front retainer. I guess I'll have to make my own handguard fotr the yugo. Just trying to figure out how to cool it a little better. I was thinking of routing 1/4' grooves on the inside with vent holes comming out at ~45 deg. to the ground. I'd rather have a nasty one to R&D on though. cool.gif

I see you got your new pistol! Like it? I knew they where different, but didn't have anything to campare them to. I about cought this thing on fire the first time I shot it. I think it was just the last of the cosmo burning off. We'll see if it heats up this summer. smile.gif
