Anybody have a good suggestion for a decently priced leg rig for my XD45? I don't want to go cheap but also don't want to spend too much. That Blackhawk for $200 is pretty tacticool, but $200? Is it really necessary to spend that much? CONFUS12.gif

Blackhawk stinks, look at the Safariland 6004 line of holsters.

Another +1 for Safariland.

Bit of a positive experience with them recently. I use a Safariland holster on duty, and the retention strap had a bit of a malfunction, a part broke inside the mechanism. I called them on Monday, and all they wanted to know was my address for the new strap. They Fed-Exed the new part, free of charge, and it was in my hands by Wednesday morning. BTW, I told them the holster was almost two years old, and long since out of warranty. THAT is stellar customer service. Any company can have their product break, it takes a great company to stand behind their product like that.

I'm sitting here at work right now wearing a Safariland 6004 thigh rig, and I swear by them. They are extremely fast to draw from.

So far, I've only run into one problem with them. During training, we spent about a half hour rolling on the ground, firing from different positions. We were on a dirt/sand range and it was lightly raining. The holster was empty, since we were shooting the whole time. When that course of fire was done, I reholstered and secured the strap. On the next course of fire, I couldn't open the strap due to all the wet sand that was in the hinge portion. It took a lot to open it back up again.

I've also used Safariland's customer service. One of the plastic snaps on the leg straps broke. I called them up, and 2 days later, I had two new complete straps in my mailbox.
