QUOTE (Rampy @ November 18th 2009 5:35 PM) Who really cares for the 1st 500rds, its just to break it in & get things smoothed out, am not going for accuracy, but to get the pieces parts to seat & wear in slightly along with loosening things up a smidgen. Wolf was the cheapest 45 I could find Eh, I'm just not a fan. Some people swear by them, I just hate bi-metal ammunition. Didn't mean to offend any Wolf fans, just not my cup of tea.

Didn't mean to offend any Wolf fans, just not my cup of tea. It's not really my cup of tea either, but beggars can't be picky Just looking for stuff that goes BANG right now & then will start using brass cased ammo for accuracy & TLC.....

I hate the crap too, but I used to buy it before the war started to use at the range. 45 was like 12 bucks per 50 out here for Wolf and I think I paid less than that for 40 and 357. Now I have a turret press Daddy can make his own boom booms

QUOTE (northdakotashooter @ November 18th 2009 12:41 PM) well if we really need to stretch it out i am still trying to figure out what will be my first 1911. Plan to have it ordered/shipped to my FFL and ready to be picked up on Sept 6 next fall here....
Let the discussion continue!
I'm stuck between Operator - TRP - Warrior - or Custom.... not quite entry level i guess.... if i dont order another Adx upper first then those are still doable. You should add the Loaded to that list.

If BC ever comes back to this thread to check on the OP and his question, he is going to shoot all of us in the head.

QUOTE (oak1971 @ November 18th 2009 4:21 PM) Geeze, care to narrow it down a bit? Well we have 9 months or so... , and this thread needs to hit 100. otherwise thats about how lost i am! I have always thought kimber or bust (own their rifles, absolutely love them) but after reading around seems high end springers are on par. But for that price is a les bear / wesson too much more for their entry level?
