I've always liked Tn, especially the mountains north of Knoxville. Used to go to Jellico to buy beer, too.

Yea bud, I didn't think about posting this until I talked to you today when you cut me off at the knees when I was bitching about how cold it was here today. 54 doesn't sound so bad compared to 39. anim_nana.gif

That's my favorite cove for spending the night on the boat and favorite time of the day. Beautiful time of the day, peaceful, calming, a tad cool, and the fish are just starting to bite serious.

I used to spend Summers at my Aunt and Uncles place in Crawford. About 30 minutes outside of Cookeville. It was a nice change of pace from the city life. Got my first 22 at 12 and learned to hunt and fish in the Vol. State.

I'm a Tennessee transplant. I grew up in Missouri. I spent the first 18 years of my life there. I've been in Tennessee for 25 years. I love it here.

Been to Tenn. liked it, even considered moving there .

Work prevented it........... I was going to live on a house boat on one of the lakes down their. Wife wasn't keen on that. When I say house boat --- I mean a yacht type of thing.

OH yea, Sumerset housboats are made just across the KY border from here. Dang, do they have some models, hot tubs, pools, large decks, sat dishes, and even their own water treatment systems. Some of them are gigantic. Many of them are custom built and put a yatch to shame.

No yard to cut, beautiful rural setting, fishing hole off your front porch, and bored take your house for a drive is attractive to some. cool.gif

A number of people here have retired on them. No frozen lakes does have it's benifits. When you think about it the docking fees are less than most of us pay for property taxes.

Oddly enough my cousin who lives in Ohio bought one and put it on Norris lake. He intends to use it for weekend getaways until it is paid for and retires.

My plan included buying some land on the lake so I had some privacy and a electrical hook up and phone line ..... cell phones aren't all that reliable in some areas down there .

With a concrete lauch ramp and dock ..........now with the grand kids so close moving would be real hard .... kids are always here - they can ride a bike to our house .. and be with the old folks .. getting the royal treatment if you know what I mean.

It's too cloudy down here in Nashville. It was nice the weekend before last when I took the kids camping at Percy Priest Lake though.
