Well I did it. I think it came out great. Only thing I will do differently next time is get some epoxy that is black. I used a clear kind and had to dye it black. Looks ok, but you can see what is expoy and what is polymer.

This is really easy. I love the stippling. Beleive it or not, this was really wasy to do. I'll be happy to answer any questions if you have them. My slide should be back this week or early next week from CCR and it will be complete.

Thanks. What I really like best about the stippling is that you can cover up any mistakes you made when sanding. It doesnt have to be perfect.

hate to bump an old thread, i saw the other how to's on reducing the grip but i didn't see any detail on stippling, what was the process for that?

Basically you need a soldering iron with a pointed tip. The smaller the better. Let it get hot and go to town. How far you press the iron tip in the frame is up to you. Just go slow. It takes a long time, but the slower you go the better your work is.
