I just got a g29, and I am looking for a good concealment holster(inside the pant, strongside). I am kind of old school, and definitely want leather so no kydex suggestions please. I am on a tight budget, and two holsters by Galco really caught my eye. The U.S.A (ultimate second amendment) and the Waistband Inside the pant holster(w/ thumb break). Does anyone have any experience with these? I really like the no frills design and the rough leather side out. I am leaning towards the one w/ the thumb break because it is so economical, but what is an extra $20 bucks when talking about holster comfort. I kind of like the thumb break too, in case i fall out of the boat fishing my gun wouldn't end up at the bottom of the lake. Other suggestions for an economical inside the pant, leather holsters would be welcome as well!

Moose,

I have a G29 that I carry. I use a Galco, but its not a inside the pant style. I really do like the quality though, and would definitely buy another Galco.

This is a picture of mine.

They make good quality holsters IMO.

Good Luck!

For an off-the-shelf holster, Galco offers good quality and a big bang for the buck. Another excellent option in this category is the Don Hume brand. Don't overlook them.

Galco is IMHO one of the best in the business. I've got a small-of-back that fits everything from small autos to J-Frame size revolvers. My second favorite maker is Bianchi. Between the two of them, I can find whatever I want for my pistols. My favorite site is Leather for Lefties, since I'm a southpaw, also known as Packin' Heat Leather. They feature Galco and Bianchi and when I need a holster, that's where I start.

Galco's great. I have a Summer Comfort that I sometimes use for my M&P40 and Glock 20. I don't have any experience with the ones you linked above, though.

I had a Beretta 92F, and carried it in a Galco "Miami Classic" shoulder-rig. It was a well-made outfit, and fully adjustable with "Chicago-style" screws. I would recommend their products, and would probably buy another holster from them.

I have a quite a few Galco's. They are pretty decent for the money and readily available in most stores.

I have a Galco "Explorer" holster for my long-barreled S&W "N" frame revolvers. It works well and hides nicely under a sport coat.

I love Galco. The make a top dollar good quality holster. However for the money of their top of the line items you can get a superior quality holster with the same price but a longer wait. Check out Ken Null if you want a superior quality dress holster or Mernickle for odd ball guns holsters. Both make truly inspiring holsters.

I like Galco just fine and have a few, but really have switched now for those similar styles (molded leather) to Don Hume which is the same thing construction wise for less money.

I have a Galco FLETCH, OWB with thumb break. The thumb break is a PITA for CCW. It prints horribly and always snags my shirt when I bend over, ultimately turning my CCW into an open carry. (OC is legal in KS) It is however the most comfortable of the 10 or so holsters I own, and I have contemplated cutting the thumb break from the holster to make it useable other than around my property.

Thanks all for the responses, I actually went with a supertuck deluxe from crossbreed holsters. I have had it for a few months now, and absolutely love it. Mark Craighead and his staff were a dream to do business with...holster arrived a week after ordering and it has a LIFETIME WARRANTY and two week trial period.

For an IWB the Summer Comfort was a big disapointment for my G27. Didn't like it at all. The barrel is too short, and the holster rides too high to be stable. My biggest beef though is that the loops do not fit much more than an inch belt, when pants are actually worn! The top of the waistband (when in front of the holster, behind the loops) raises the loops out of "synch" with the "belt path", if that makes any sence. So technically, the loops will hold a 1.75 belt, but only when your pants are on the floor. I wear a 1.75 or 1.5" belt almost all the time (pants or not! really.gif ), so that sorta counts that one out.

AKMAN

Oh yeah, glad you got a holster you like! Beats throwing another in the box of might have beens!
