I have a 1,000 Fed Small Rifles so tonight, due to this thread, I tried them out.
What I did was decap and swage as normal, then used my neck deburring tool to deburr the pocket hole, angling to get any extra heavy crimp burr left. This leaves a slight champher which is good for starting the primer. I then used a clean/resizer to clean the shavings out and uniform the hole.
Made the Feds feed about like CCI when just doing a swage. With CCI, the CCI fed like it was new brass.
Its a bit more work but doable.
