Let's hear it guys which caliber do you use the most for the White Tail.

I prefer and use the Ruger 25.06.

Dunno about whitetail, but for blacktail and muleys, 180gr. .30-06 gets my vote.

Being an Ohio boy, rifles are illegal here for deer, I use a 357mag. Last deer was 85 yards, took two steps before downing. Also hit it with a 200grain corbon. Never any problems with the corbon! Expensive though.

They need to allow lever guns in pistol caliber here. That would make things nicely. But this is what I use and only used it once and was VERY impressed.

Here is the entry hole on the deer I shot this year.

I use either homemade lyman slugs, or my black diamond. I am thinking about puting a scope on my gp100.

I have a scope on my Dan Wesson 357mag 8" barrel, and love it. I understand the reason behind not being allowed rifles in Ohio. Travel down any road in south eastern Ohio and you'll see orange every 50 yards! It would be nice if, like western states, your tag is only good for the area you bought it in.

I use the 25.06 Ruger #1

Awesome gun to hunt with... It has taken quite a few Whitetails
