I voted for S@W. They do not make my favorite handgun or even a model which I would CCW. However the companies history, Their revolvers and the fact that it's once again American owned all add up to make it my favorite company

Since Magnum Research isn’t listed, I went with Glock.

I'd have to vote Ruger. I know what your thinking. Their wheel guns are overbuilt, one of the best out their. Same as thier autos. They may not be pretty, but they last and go bang. And they are an American Company! Last I checked Glock wasn't winning any beauty contests. Now a 1911 high gloss custom colt, that wins over all looks!

Smith and Wesson all the way! Very hard to beat the quality, customer service and history of the guns!

Didn't read the whole thing, but, "What's your favorite handgun company?" has no meaning, really. In terms of what? Customer service? Product quality? Availability? Value? etc.....
For example, I don't care for S&W handguns (pistols), but their CS is top-notch (or so I've heard).

Since neither FN nor CZ was listed, I went with SIG. It's really hard to pick just 'one' company. My choice was made on: price, function, accuracy, and quality/customer service parameters.

Taurus. I have a PT92AF-D with over 500 rounds through it and so far no malfs. Only had two issues with it, a bad sear and rust spots and Taurus fixed both. thumb.gif

Wow! Lots of SIG's, S&W's, and Glocks in this thread.

For me, I like my SIG's, only 'cause I have a bunch of 'em, AND haven't had nary a blip from any of 'em.
My HK is right up there for quality; same for my older Charter Arms .38.

However,...

-SIG is notorious for their backlog on delivery. I know of this first-hand!
-I've also heard alot of dope on HK's Customer Service, or lack there of.
-Now that S&W is under control by an avid gunner, and not some British conglomerate, their Customer Service is on the ball. Plus, I like their older Mod 27's and 29's.
-As for Ruger, I have a few of their revolvers and SA's, and I like 'em, but odds are, I won't be buying any more of 'em. They really pissed me off when Bill Sr. coddled the Anti-crowd. I've yet to read or hear of any retraction of their stance on EBR's, and mag capacity.

.02

out!
