Difference between USGI M1956 & M1967 pistol belts?

Are the M1956 pistol belts correct for Nam era 1911A1 rigs or were the M1967 pistol belts different and used also ???

IIRC they were the same except the 1967 was nylon and the 1956 was cotton. I could be wrong, it has been a while since I read the book.
