Hey all, J-Dub asked me if I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for showing off our proudest targets! I think its a great idea personally! So lets see them! Best groupings, backstory, rifle used, ammo used! Time to show off your mad skills!!!

Sure I still have to keep a few small replacement parts, but I'll let you kick me in the balls for every malfunction I have with my Addax GPU, thats how reliable it is!
So far we are at, hold on, let me check..... ZERO!

Did this about a month ago out on a dry lake bed about 30 min. north of the Las Vegas valley. I shot from a prone supported position suing my harris bi pod and carhart jacket under the rear stock. I start with 100 yard clean cold bore groups to confirm zero then shoot at various distances ranging from 100 to 1000 yards. My DOPE data is very good out to 1000 yards but haven't started developing my 1000 plus DOPE'age 3 Rounds from 100 yards, 190 gr HPBT .300 Win Mag Remington 700 PSS DM with Leopold MK 4 3.5x10x40 LR/T M1

QUOTE (subnormal @ March 29th 2009 8:42 PM) dude, I know I'm the new guy and I aint trolling But I can't belive it. I would have to be there. 3 rounds one hole no other jag marks @ 300yds. your name is robin hood or you posted the wrong picture. good looking rifle Click on the picture, and then zoom in on the bullseye. You can plainly see multiple holes in the target if you do. After doing this, please politely edit your post. He said 100 yds, not 300 like is written on the target.

I can read that it says 100 and I can also see it says 300. how do I know which one? he could have made a mistake and my computer browser doesn't zoom. I had to download and then zoom. sorry I couldn't see it. it wasn't like I was attacking him. if you seen just one hole and 300yds on a target you would believe it? if so I have a rifle for you. shoots 500yds 5 shots in one hole, sell it for $650 the price of my new varmint upper.

QUOTE (subnormal @ March 29th 2009 9:33 PM) if you seen just one hole and 300yds on a target you would believe it? I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Barring that, 300 yards, three rounds in one hole isn't impossible. We don't know how good of a shot he is. It is entirely possible that he did that at 300 yards.

Just don't like seeing people question a picture until they look at it. As far as the target, you can see a second hole under the obvious one without zooming. One hole at 300 yds, no-a group that size at 300 yds, that rifle is capable of it with the right trigger jockey. Oh and BTW, a 5 shot one hole group at 500 yds IS possible-seen it many times with a Barrett, seen several rifles chambered in .338 LM do it too

I just couldn't believe it. just my opinion, I guess when you cant have a opinion forums and gun cease to exist.

I can believe that. but on my computer it looks as a single bullet hole. taking a second look with out zooming it still looks like one hole. the second hole is still blacked out. but of course I'm using a lap top with a 14" screen.

RRA Entry tactical 16", 2stg trigger, Burris FF II 3-9x w/ Ball-plex 300yds from bench Fed 223B 55gr fmjbt 65deg. day slight head wind 7 shots 6" spread = 2moa If I could find a 300yd range here in NC (previous group is a year old from NJ) I'd test out my new Recce build.

What kind of ammo did you use? Iron sights?

The NRA has a point about the inadvisability of simply taking guns away from the populace. .730" outside - .224" bullet dia. = .506" shot this at 150 yds DPMS AR w/16" 1/9 twist barrel-YHM Phantom Comp 55gr Nosler Ballistic Tips 24.4 gr A-2230 FC 08 Mil Spec Brass sub 1/2 MOA @ 100 yds The hole above the bullseye was my brother in law being a smartass and shooting my target with his .243 WIN. Not too shabby for a carbine, maybe some freefloat handguards will tighten it up just a bit more.
