Has anybody out there done this?

I know I've seen it posted and since this is my exclusive sight for black rifle info, it nearly has to be here somewhere.

Thanks in advance,
hef

Yeah I think GotM4 posted it, I think.

I'm checking, it can't be that hard though. Just Dremel off the top leave a good section left to go after with a file or something less invasive as a Dremel cut off wheel. So you don't cut into the gas tube area.

That's what I was thinking; just make sure I didn't get into the gas tube area.

Thanks.

I've done many.

I charge $50 to do it which includes sandblasting and refinishing in flat black Norrells moly or black satin GunKote (your choice). I can spray the barrel too.

This is the ultra lo-profile job I do that will fit under a LaRue or Daniel Defense Lite Rail.

The one above was to fit under a 12" Troy rail on a 16" LMT barrel for a project with the ARES piston kit that I did for a friend. I threaded the gas tube roll pin hole to 4-40 so that a Rocksetted in set screw holds in the spigot on his upper. It's working well and hasn't come loose unlike the roll pin did which walked out and allow the spigot to move and then bent the op rod.

Here's a gas block that I did for a guy that fits under a 9" LaRue rail. The barrel is a factory 10.5" LMT, I sprayed it with black GunKote.

Thanks gotm4. That's exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate it!
