laugh.gif Well get out and use those puppies.

I've got two I use but any IPSC shooter will always have extra for the "future" !! I have sixty 45 ACP stainless mags and I don't think I have used all of them in a year or two. just like having and extra six Para 38's Super mags in case I lose one of the five I have been using for 18 years !! LOL

i really wanna want to mod my 10/22 but i'm kind of hesitant as it was my first firearm given to me by my father. it's got that weird nostalgic value to it.

i have shot the piss out of the barrel at this point though, so i'll probably end up modding it eventually. i would like to make me a little tack driver! oh yea.gif

Start by modding the internals. I'd say a good trigger has a much better impact on preformance of the shooter.

Plus, it will retain the same appearence for sentimental value.

Remember it's whats on the inside that counts. wink.gif

I have an older 10-22 I like it. The only thing I want to change is the trigger it flat out sucks. I have an old ram line folding stock from the 80's that I used to throw on it when I went fishing.

If there is only one mod you need to do on a 10/22 that is it. The triggers suck out loud. Midway has a lot of alternatives, I just changed out the hammer and springs and it's great now... about 3 lbs, which is just right for me.

Thanks man. I was looking at the drop in kits but deemed them too pricey as I dont even shoot the thing hardly anymore.

What are you guys using for large capacity mags? I still have 2 Butler Creek steel lip mags that have been great. Wondering if there are any better ones or similar ones that are reliable. Mine are still going strong but always good to know what others have found to work reliably for them.

By the way, I really like that bolt handle in that project thread. Will have to look into that.

I only use the factory rotary ten round mags, which seem to work the best,
and ,like you, butler creek high capacity. A lot of people use tactical innovations mags, the TI25. They come in several variations, and people who have them speak highly about them. I haven't ever used one, but TI does make good products. That is about the only alternative I can think of.

i use the tac inc mag. LOVE them.
and because of the variations in production from ruger these come with micro adjustable screws on top of the feed rails to ensure a perfect fit on almost every gun.
