I have been talking with Neil about carry handle mounted optic options for a 20" A2. It doesn't have to be some sort of sniper grade scope to reach out and touch someone. It will be a battle rifle instead of precision work. What suggestions do you all have on about a $500 budget?

I have thought about the 2X 1MOA version of this Aimpoint.

I think they come in 1.5X, 2X, and 3X depending on the model.

Is this your main battle weapon? I have a A2 20 "er and I put a 3x9 Bushnell FireFly +1" @ 100 yards. But keep in mind I have an A4 that I have a holosight on it. cool.gif The scope is lightweight and I can adjust for up close and personal or as far out as 300yrds. It just depends on what your expectation is or what you anticipate the use of the firearms is. When I bought my optics I asked myself those questions and made a my choices based on budget a practicality. My buddy has a ACOG on his AR and bought it because somebody in our hunting group bought one doh.gif , not a good idea he has found out. I think the ACOG is cool but not what I needed. Just trying to be the voice of reason. mf_popcorn.gif
