Great write up, thanks TS,

Can't wait to see the actions shots!

That is the Black Rifle look that I love so much....

As a matter of fact....with the exception of it being a flat top with Carry Handle instead of a standard A2 attached carry handle, and 16" instead of 20"....it otherwise looks almost exactly like my Armalite EBR.

I really like the full length stuff...but if I'm ever in the market for a carbine.......I now know exactly where I'll go. thumbsup.gif

Given the demand for carbines it only makes sense that the carbine market is where they would go. There may be a rifle in the future. Personally, I'd like to see a slab side or M16A1E2 (C7) rifle in a 1:8" twist.

I swear pics are coming. I just want the best pics I can get My review was somewhat late because I wanted to be as accurate and thorough as possible.

TS,

No rush to complete this. You've done a great job so far and we don't have a deadline for you. Take your time.

Sincerely,

Are the D-M4LE uppers available yet and if so where? I've been busy with work lately and haven't been keeping up.......

I don't know but you're not the first to ask. I'm sure Charles Daly will be by to answer in a much more authoritative manner.

I've taken quite a few pics and I believe that the time has come to move on to the shooting and "dirty" testing. My testing will not be easy on the D-M4... There will be both accuracy and durability testing in the shooting phase. I've heard from people I trust that it will take whatever I throw at it but I always have to see for myself.

Don't know how I missed this question.

We have not shipped any uppers yet. We are so far behind building complete guns that it's probably going to be at least another month before we do. When we do you can be sure we will put all our efforts into the D-M4LE first.

TS,
Really looking forward to the next phase of your T&E. As you posted, don't take anyone else's word for it. Let's see how this one performs for you. m4.gif

Pdog: You have an extremely low serial number. Some day soon I will explain how that happened. In the meantime, what I can tell you now is that no one, anywhere in the world, has anything close to that.
Hint.... save your $ for the matching # on one of our new 1911's coming this fall!

I have an old CD semi auto 12 gauge that has been to hell and back. Carried through every imaginable type of cover from plum thickets to dense KS woods. And it's still black as ever.

That's the only test that matters, the gun and you. Bottom line.

Most definitely. I'm not knocking anyone. I have a lot of respect for that individual. thumbsup.gif
But, you get my point about gun and testing. All the great reviews mean nothing, if it doesn't work for you, and vice versa.

WOW. I gotta crawl out of my cave more often! Just stumbled across your thread, TS. Great write-up and photos.

CONGRATS on your acquisition. Damn good looking weapon!!! It definitely appears that CD got it right!! Their worksmanship and attention to detail is top of the line.

I have my eyes on their DV-24.

I apologize for the delay in the review. My camera died so pics were impossible. I have fired the D-M4 and it functioned fine, but there will be more rounds down range soon. My mag well test is tacked above. Here's a link.
