Ok I was changing my dust cover. I got it off, put the new one on, and now I cant get the c-clamp back on.

Tips?

Got it. I was able to change it without taking anything else off. Everywhere I saw said you either had to take the bbl off, or take the gas tube out and turn the delta ring so you could slide the rod out there. It took a little persuading, but I was able to get it back far enough to get the one on off and put this one on.

The way I got the c-clamp back on was pretty simple. I held it in place with some tweezers, and pushed it on with the blade of a knife.

What do you think?

It can be tricky to thread it on. Grab it with needlenose and push carefully. I usuall put tape under it in case of a slip.

I tried the needlenose way, but mine were too wide to get in there. The front of them was hitting the part that the rod goes through.

Looks great! And real good to know you can replace the dust cover without removing the barrel.

Found it on Gun Broker. It was listed under "Buck Ofama dust cover" IIRC. They have a few different things you can get on them.
