I just got some DT Equalizer 230gr. Been thinking about using it as a carry round (I use 200gr XTP now) anyone care to chime in?

Does anyone stagger ammo, like alternating JHP and WFNGC or FMJ? I stagger 200gr XTP and 200gr WFNGC when I hike

N16ht5, welcome.gif to 10mmTalk!

I haven't used the 230 Equalizers from Mike McNett at DT, they are interesting but I rather have the single projectile accuracy & performance. The WFNGC are a nice rounds in either 200 or 230 gr with the wide meplat, these should provide deep penetration and solid performance.

I carry my own handloads which are topped by the Hornady 200XTP, these are tested from my S&W 5" @ 1180-1200 fps and from the G-29 factory barrel at 1120-1140 fps. I trust them to perform just like they do in deer, while they don’t open as much as some of the newer HP's, they penetrate deep but not over penetrate in my opinion.

I don't think you could go wrong with the Double Tab rounds.

Enjoy the forum and post often! thumb.gif
