I am sorry, truly sorry, to hear this. It does, however, go to show us where Colt's QC has been... in the dumper!

Perhaps this will encourage the people at Colt to get "on the stick" and do something, other than rest on their laurels. Tighter QC and improving the ergonomics on their entire pistol line would be a good place to start!

I was considering a new Colt 1911 yesterday at the local gun shop and the rear sight fell off in my hand. Dealer just shook his head. Oh well . On to S&W. high plains drifter

Colt = UAW = Inconsistent quality control.

Colt has had problems with inconsistent QC for years if not decades. I have a New Frontier Single Action that is an absolute turd. The only reason why I still have it is waiting for the right Colt fanatic to offer me a good price. There are still many out there that will pay a premium for anything with the prancing pony logo.
