The website says 30-06 ammo is sold out. Hopefully there will be more in the future. That was the best ammo deal out there.

There was a message from Orest a while back that said they would have more news on the ammo sales situation. Most are hoping that there is more on the way.

The ammo section of the CMP board is getting pretty bad with some of the IGM guys riding the late comers who are hunting for something to shoot out of their newly received CMP rifles. Hope Orest will do us a favor and boot some of them from the board or lock up their accounts until they learn to behave.

All the orders that were in prior to the "sales closed" date are expected to be filled as normal. If your order was in before 9-28-09, you should be good to go.

Just got some delivered a couple weeks ago. Hope they can get some more in soon. Also got a case of carbine ammo last thursday that I ordered in April. Still have another that I'm waiting for.

Haven't seen it yet but, my order from 9/9/09 shows as shipped as of today. That's roughly 5 weeks so, it appears they are getting caught up and are working on the orders that were in before they shut things down.

Unlike some of the others that have been flogging their ammo on GB or at the gun shows, mine will go down range.

It's amazing when you think about it, last year they expected the ammo on hand would last 10 years at the rate of sales at the time. Then they went to a 20 can limit to a 10 can limit to not taking orders.

Glad I have my press and dies. Now if only I could find some primers.

Well, the four spam cans I ordered last month turned up at the door this morning. Glad to say that even with the supplies running low, the CMP is still shipping a quality product. No crud or rust on any of the cans. Don't see any need to open or repack them. Hope everyone else that ordered gets the same.

One strange thing. FedEx tried to deliver yesterday but, I hadn't made it home yet. Found the door tag and headed for the local hub. Now they are just 10 minutes away. The CS rep took one look at the door tag and said it was not from them. Turns out it was from another facility nearly 90 miles away. I was provided with their phone number and made arrangements to have it delivered today.

Odd that it didn't come from the local site and they would not transfer it. The 1-800 CS rep was a total bust. Wouldn't do anything other then tell me to stay home Monday. Asked for a phone number for the local hub and was told I'd have to drive there because she couldn't give me the number. Go figure.

Bet the delivery attempt was made by FedEx Ground. The divisions are kept separated.

Luckily I got my order from August just after they announced that they sold out. That was a great relief

All is not lost. New news from the CMP says a large amount of Greek surplus is on the way and should be available early next year.

The CMP hasn't even received the new ammo yet and there are already arguments over how it should be sold and how much it should cost on the ammo section of the CMP board.

I'd like to see the CMP keep the limits that they imposed earlier this year as well as adding markings to the packaging (spam or ammo cans) that would link the cans back to their sales. Marking to be applied in such a way as their removal would be evident. That might help to cut down on the profiteering going on with the sale of the CMP ammo. Loose HXP or bandoleers of HXP would be suspect as to their source.

Any thoughts?

I had tried to post the same thing on the CMP board but, since they updated the board, I can't get in.
