Hi Everyone!

Just took delivery last night of my new (and first) AR. Wifey said I could have whatever I wanted for my 40th b'day and I picked out a CDD D-M4. Ordered from TGSCOM (doing business as MidwestHuntersOutlet.com) and it arrived locally 2 weeks later. Here's a graphic:

A couple of suprises - 1st, I received a D-M4LE instead of the D-M4. From what I can tell on the CDD website, the only differences are that the LE has a 4150 barrel with a 1x7 twist and a 'H' buffer and the standard D-M4 has a 4140 barrel with a 1x9 twist. All for ~$300 less than the retail price. thumb.gif Second supprise was that it didn't ship with a case as their catalog states. I called CDD and asked for my case and they stated that they no longer are providing them, even though their catalog hasn't been updated. sad.gif

I mentioned in a previous post here that I bought the EOTech 2-piece aluminum handguards pictured below. Although I don't believe they are manufactured by EOTech they do seem to be of very good quality. I installed them on the weapon and they fit very well, no movement whatsoever. They look really nice, but they are not quite as black as the weapon is - although, definately not bad for $120! If you're interested, I got them at US Armorment.

Anyway, headed to the range this weekend to give it workout. I don't expect any difficulties, especially after reading TigerStripe's excellent review of the CDD D-M4.

Here's that picture of the handguards:

Thanks for the compliment! And thanks for the link as well... I haven't been able to point people in the direction of CCD M4s and M4LEs and now I can. You won't be disappointed. thumb.gif

Another Link for the CD's is galleryofguns.com. They are a distribution warehouse in Prescot, AZ, and with a 25% down, the'll ship to a local dealer in your area that is affiliated with them. I've found that they have some pretty good deals on lots of firearms. The local dealer basically puts his markup on, and you can get quotes from several dealers in your area, and chose either the closest, cheapest, or best rep to buy from.

They also have a great warranty, in that if something ever goes wrong, ship back to them and they will either have it fixed, or send you a new one, in addition to the manufacturers warranty.

Love the Charles Daly quality. Have 2 now.
