Dont know if anyone has any experience with Georgia Arms ammo, www.georgia-arms.com, but I ordered a bulk quantity of FMJ's before they ran out of casings and will report in when I receive them.

Can not speak for their 223's however, I have purchased and shot over 3,000 rounds of Georgia Arms 45's and 10mm with no problems.

Purchased new Rock River Arms AR15 last month. Have run about 100 rounds of Remington UMC so far with no problems. No failure to feed, no failure to fire. Bought the UMC prior to reading this thread. Accuracy seems ok at 50 and 100 yards but using iron sights. Will report any problems.

I fired 2 mags of Rem UMC with no problems, but I probably won't be buying anymore. Also fired 2 mags of PMC with no probs as well. However, my alliances lie with Federal and Hornady. The problem is finding it around here. I have to drive 20+ miles to find Federal and even further for Hornady.

Some people have had good luck with UMC but there have been a few pretty recent complaints on it. This is just here to let people know that there have been problems with ammo.

^I must have been among the lucky, but will not be buying UMC until I start to hear good things again.

American Eagle (by Federal) is supposedly the hot ticket now. $100 for 200 rds.

Why pay 100 bucks for 200 rounds when Ammo to go has it for 1000/289????

I think its remanufactured, but loaded with LC cases. Even there factory loaded stuff is much cheaper than 200 rounds for 100 bucks. Plus they are a site sponsor and one of the best places for ammo I have delt with.

Stay away from this junk. http://www.samcoglobal.com/index.html had lots of light loaded rounded followed by some very HOT rounds one was so weak I thought it was a squib.

CATASTROPHIC FAILURE - GEORGIA ARMS AMMO

I was shooting Georgia Arms Canned Heat .223 ammo through my S&W M&P15 in early December and KABOOOM! The gun is totaly trashed beyond repair. Fractured the receiver and blew the bottom of the bolt down through the magazine pushing all the live ammo out. This was a serious failure. Sent the gun to S&W and they verified it was due to an overpressure round. Avoid this ammo at all costs!

I have been reading these posts about ammo and have a much greater appreciation for the different types of ammo and manufacturers. But I have an AR with a 5.56 barrel and am wondering if the problem with using steel cased ammo and then using brass ammo might be more or less serious than in a 223 barrel.

Ive had a roblem with PMC. Had a bullet get lodged halway down the barrel of my Berreta 92. Ive never used Wolf or Bear. Thought about buying Bear though. I always stick with American Eagle or Winchester. Good off the shelf ammo.

No problem with Remington ammo here. Went through a rifle course with it, we use it at work and I buy it for plinking and have never had a issue.

Add INDEPENDENCE AMMO to the list! Out of a 50 round box had 4 FTFs. So I put in another box of the same MFG. and had 8 more FTFs and several FTEs. This was 45 ACP. FTF = failure to fire. Also had problems with the rounds feeding properly and not fully extracting. This was out of a newer 1911.

Definitely want pics, and GA Arms response.
