Ugh...
This is ridiculous.

Sorry to complain, but can you talk Amelon into shipping my set sooner than later.

My FFL charges a rather exorbitant rate ($35) to transfer the first firearm to you... but if you execute more than one transfer at the same time, the rate is MUCH cheaper ($15). Nature of doing business in Northern Virginia, everything is expensive. Right now, he has in his possession for me a KAC SR-15E3, and 4 other lowers, but we're waiting on this last lower so we can do the tranfer all at once.

GB ended October 26th. it's now Nov. 7th... I told my FFL to expect the lower no later than the first week of November, and it doesn't sound like were shipping Monday.

Anything you guys can do to speed this up?
Take the non payers out of the buy now, process the shipment, and lets move on.

It's typical of people to wait till the very last minute to do things.

I don't mind waiting a bit longer though since I don't have anything else for my build yet.

I can wait a little while, but I am anxious since I've been ordering parts last few days.
Just need my upper parts now.

$60 to $80 in my neck of the woods and you often times get charged for each additional weapon transferred at the same time. $35 for a transfer would thrill me to no end!

$35 is also on the cheap side for my area. Other places charge between $35 and $50 plus tax on the item around here.

READ the original thread, the GB ended on the 26th, but I state that payments are due a week after...which was the 2nd, I did state that the Sets would be shipped and received by sometime in the middle of November. The order has been placed even though all payments are not received.

This is now in UPS hands, whether they deliver as scheduled or not is always a guess. Amelon will send your sets out the same day or next dau after he receives them.

I understand your being impatient, but getting frustrated does nothing to help.

I am actually past being upset. I had originally over 60 commitments and more than 20 backed out or did not respond to my emails.

I hate to sound irritated, but it is been a serious pain dealing with "cancellations" updating lists, contacting sponsors...

All I am asking for is a little patients, you guys will get your sets, you guys will be happy with them and there is nothing more that I or Amelon can do to speed up the process.

Thank you

You are doing a great job and I am thankful you are doing this group buy. I am sorry there are that many people bugging out or flat out ignoring your messages.

Perhaps we should have a wall of shame after this is all over with TS2.gif

James, I for one would like to take the time to personaly thank you for putting up with all the crap I know you are having to deal with.
Its always said "no good deed goes unpunished" I don't know what your reward for doing this for all of us is, but I sure hope you get something, even if its the satisfaction of a job well done. I hope this does not sour you on helping put other "Group Buys" togeather.
Its to bad some people don't follow thru with there commitment, but not know there situation its hard to judge. Let all try to smile and
and get ready to build some real nice rifles.

Where is the payment list? Is there a commitment list also? I'm like a kid before x-mas wanting to know if I "won" anything. laugh.gif

What happens if the people that made a commitment back out and you're left with their unpaid orders? Will BRO accept them back or will you have to pay for them?

Thanks James. Also, thanks to BRO and Amelon.

There is no public list and no commitment list. A lot of guys had very good reasons to back out of the commitment, but there were several that just had some ridiculous reasoning.

I will take care of the "raffle" for the lower parts kit when all payments are received.

As for the unpaid for sets, I will not eat the costs, but Amelon or BRO will end up eating the shipping. If there are several that are unpaid...I may buy an extra set, if funds allow.

James,
I want to tell you thanks so much for ramrodding this group buy, thanks go out to the others of course! I'm looking forward in building a 16" mid-length on this upper and lower. Could you let us know if there are any leftover extra sets, might be able to scrape up the extra $, since I think this set looks to be a real quality buy at a great price.
:-)
thanks again
keith

Folks everyone will be very happy when their stuff arrives and the wait is part of the game for us to get everything at these prices.

I have dealt so much with the ATF on the forms, waiting is just like breathing anymore for me. laugh.gif

James did a heck of a good job on this and this will be our last one for a little spell, we had three rolling almost at the same time and it was consuming too much time for everyone.

I have just completed the drawings for the Coatings and the Lower Parts Kit with two 3rd party's that did not know what the selection of the numbers were for(each member that had a "paid" commitment was assigned a number).

Congratulations to:

Each one has won a free coating from Amelon for there set. If you are a winner and already have made payment, you now have a credit at Amelon to get something else coated equal in value. Please contact Dan at Amelon for details. If you are not interested in the coating, please tell me so I can do another drawing for the slot.
