QUOTE (Thumper_6119 @ November 3rd 2009 7:46 AM) Okay, who caught the Saints vs Falcons game last night? That was some awesome football. And some of the absolute worst officiating I've seen in a while. As I was rooting for the Saints, I was quite pleased with the outcome, but either way, that was just some entertaining football to watch. Both teams made some really great plays. Eventhough I was cheering for the Saints, that one interception that Atlanta made was incredible. That dude shot straight up in the air so high, I don't think he even knew how high he was (or that he could even jump that high). I'll bet the kickers for both teams are going to get a little extra "practice" this week. The Saints did seem to be playing a bit soft there for a while during the second half, but they got their momentum back and really kept it going. That was just some really great football to watch. (I wonder if the officials made it out of there safely.)
Oh, and again, WAY TO GO, SAINTS!!!! Brees is a great QB.
Deathdealer and I were talking last night, and he's of the opinion that the Saints are good contenders for the Super Bowl. And I wholeheartedly agree. I'm happy for the Saints and Brees is my favorite NFL player. I was lucky enough to get him with my first round pick the last three years. Brees brought my fantasy team back from defeat last night with that touchdown pass to Thomas. That flip Pierre did at the goal line was amazing Drew really has the team playing for him

I wished Dallas could get it together the way Brees and the Saints have. So who is your second pick for the Super Bowl. Who do you think (or who would like to see) will end up playing in the Super Bowl, quite possibly against the Saints?

QUOTE (Thumper_6119 @ October 26th 2009 10:48 AM) Come here to discuss your favorite team, chat about games, or talk a little trash (but no personal attacks against members).
So, the Cowboys won this weekend. Homo....er.....Romo gets to keep his job for another week. (I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but at least Dallas won).
The Squeelers.....um, I mean the Steelers beat Favre and his Vikings. I would have like to see Favre win that one.
Cardinals beat the Giants. That was a good game.
There sure were quite a few serious ass-whoopin's this weekend. Some games were not even close. LOL You sound like my wife, she thinks Romo is a joke for a Cowboy QB. AS he goes so go the Cowboys, what can you say? clint..tx

That's because the Saints haven't played the Cowboys yet. Yea, it was a good game. Statistically Brees did pretty well, but not up to his elite level. I think people need to realize that it's the Saints ground game that has really helped the team. Pierre Thomas is a monster running downfield.

It will be interesting when the saints and the vikings meet. We will see if that run game can be the first to break 100yds in 30 games vs. the Vikes.....

GO SAINT!! Dont forget Thomas gets alot of help, with Bell. He is also a very good fit in the system. He is a very good down hill runner. The run game opens up big plays for the saints. They have to many weapons for most teams to keep up with. Usually someone is always open.....Well, Brees makes it look that way anyhow.

Saints DO look for real so far - BETTER than the Vikings! Will be interesting to see how they'll match up against our STILLERS in Super Bowl XLIV!

Okay, so the Cowboys won against the Eagles. Close game. I was a little disappointed Austin didn't get a little more action, but he did manage a great TD. (Did anyone else catch all the booing after Vick took the field for the one single play he was allowed. I still don't think he should even be allowed back into the NFL, but that's me).
Chargers had a good game against the Giants. (I was also pleased with that win, for a couple of different reasons).
Didn't really catch any other games or scores than those though.

Yup. I was one happy dude last nite. The Chargers helped us with that. That play was the first or the second quarter that was CLearly pass interference. Good thing the Boys didnt let it bother em too much.

Didn't really catch any other games or scores than those though. I don't think they were booing Vick, I think they were booing the play selection. The problem is that anytime Vick comes in the opposite team pretty much knows what's gonna happer. I hate the Giants, but I can't STAND Phillip Rivers. That guy has to be the most arrogant man in football.
