Come here to discuss your favorite team, chat about games, or talk a little trash (but no personal attacks against members).
So, the Cowboys won this weekend. Homo....er.....Romo gets to keep his job for another week. (I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but at least Dallas won).
The Squeelers.....um, I mean the Steelers beat Favre and his Vikings. I would have like to see Favre win that one.
Cardinals beat the Giants. That was a good game.
There sure were quite a few serious ass-whoopin's this weekend. Some games were not even close.

Thumper, you have to admit the Boys looked a whole lot better yesterday than they have in their earlier wins.

QUOTE (dbinthecountry @ October 26th 2009 12:37 PM) Thumper, you have to admit the Boys looked a whole lot better yesterday than they have in their earlier wins. Oh, I completely agree. They were much better. Towards the end of the game, Romo was actually playing really well. Now, if they could play that way for the rest of the season (or at least most of it), I'd be really happy.

The O-line is bad and Flozell(who the fuzz names their kid, Flozell, nevermind) Adams has been a freaking turnstyle at his position. When any qb has time, things happen. Also helps to actually have a receiver (Miles Austin) get open, while that over-rated POS, Williams loafs about.

Today was the first day in a long time that I could wear a Romo jersey and not be ashamed. You are right Satchmo, you can't blame everything on Romo, but when the guy has frequent cases of fumbleitis and interceptions, it shows he needs to get his head out of his ass and in the game. So far he has been a lot more Danny White, and a lot less Troy Aikmen. We need him to be a Troy Aikmen kind of leader. ETA: And I wish I could say I'm sorry about your Bears, but I'm not.

Okay, the Cowboys won, Romo was playing much better. Way to go 'Boys!!!
I was REALLY pleased that Favre and the Vikings beat Green Bay, especially after the Cheeseheads booed Favre when he took the field. The "traitor" remarks were really uncalled for.
Houston pulled of a nice win too.

Houston pulled of a nice win too. I'm a transplanted Chicagoan, so I have a clear mind about the Favre thing. Greenbay forced him into retirement because they wanted to keep Rodgers and they knew they would freak the fan base out if they traded Favre. Brett went home and stewed on it for a bit and realized the Packers fuzzed him in the moon. I do not blame him for coming back and he shouldn't have been a pawn for the Packers. Packers fans who call Favre a traitor are a bunch of freaking retards and losers. The Fudgepackers showed him no loyalty, so screw that team. I'm happy for Favre. I am also a born in Chicago Bears fan who hates both the Buttvikings and the Fudgepackers

Vikes pulled off another win this week. Childress needs to start chewing but at half time if our D continues their terrible second half play. Way to many games are getting to close because the D stops playing second half....
On another note. My fantasty team rocked this week! Its all about the consistent players!

Houston pulled of a nice win too. +1000 for all you said Except I am really unhappy with Gary Kubiak benching Steve Slaton. Slaton's replacement rushed for 100+ yards and had three touchdowns. If you can tell, I had Slaton on my fantasy roster.

Houston pulled of a nice win too. I just wish the Cowboys would bench Williams and keep Miles Austin as a starter. Seems he's earned it.

Yea, it's kinda funny when you think about how well Williams did with Jon Kitna in Detroit. And now Kitna is out backup and Williams is starting. I really want Williams to do well, he is a Texas boy and he has so much potential. I think it is all mental.

Okay, who caught the Saints vs Falcons game last night? That was some awesome football. And some of the absolute worst officiating I've seen in a while. As I was rooting for the Saints, I was quite pleased with the outcome, but either way, that was just some entertaining football to watch. Both teams made some really great plays. Eventhough I was cheering for the Saints, that one interception that Atlanta made was incredible. That dude shot straight up in the air so high, I don't think he even knew how high he was (or that he could even jump that high). I'll bet the kickers for both teams are going to get a little extra "practice" this week. The Saints did seem to be playing a bit soft there for a while during the second half, but they got their momentum back and really kept it going. That was just some really great football to watch. (I wonder if the officials made it out of there safely.)
Oh, and again, WAY TO GO, SAINTS!!!! Brees is a great QB.
Deathdealer and I were talking last night, and he's of the opinion that the Saints are good contenders for the Super Bowl. And I wholeheartedly agree.
