Hogue ergonomic pistol grip: Maintains the same grip angle as the stock A2 grip. The palm swell is what sold me - great fit for my hand.
Magpul 20 & 30 round PMAG magazines: Durable, reliable, and inexpensive - what's not to like?
Magpul CTS collapsible stock: The shape of the butt plate is comfortable and the friction lock allows for fixed stock stability.
CAA BVG vertical front grip: I like the taper at the top and the shape of the mount area at the top - this allows for a comfortable thumb forward grip. It also provides water-proof storage for batteries.
Troy low profile QD front rail sling mount: Requires little more than a single rail slot to mount and it's rock solid.
Tango Down PR-4 buffer tube mounted QD sling mount: Rear and side QD swivel ports, solid, and lightweight.
Blackhawk V-TAC quick-adjust 2-point sling and QD swivels: I like to use a sling to stabilize the rifle when shooting. This sling is very easy to use in this fashion.
Magpul XTM and ladder-style rail covers: I'm using the XTM's to provide a short forend stock grip area where it's most natural for me to use. Ladders protect unused rail space.
Streamlight PolyTac tack light and UTG offset rail mount: The light provides 120 lumens and 3 hours run time and it's very lightweight. The mount is a cheapie but it's lightweight, tough, and requires no tools to mount. It also places the rear cap switch right where my thumb falls when grasping the VFG.
Spike's Tactical ST-T2 heavy buffer: Rather than sliding weights this buffer is filled with high density tungsten powder. It allows for smoother, quieter cycling and reduced felt recoil.
BCM Gunfighter charging handle (Mod 4): A sturdier build and an extended, reinforced lever allow for smooth, reliable one handed cycling.
KNS .034" dia. round front sight post: I've never really liked the standard front sight post on AR's - terrible sight picture for long range shooting IMO. This post is a small diameter post with a ~2MOA size bead on top. It may be too fragile for reliable use in battle but for a civilian rifle it's a major improvement. I have the bead set to cover the target. The round bead centers quickly within the round aperture of the rear sight - target acquisition is quick.
Harris lightweight swivel folding bipod and GG&G rail adapter: Great bipod. Rubber feet, swivel base, and stepped leg height adjustments make it easy to set the bipod for stable rest on nearly any surface. Rail adapter requires a 9/64th" allen key to secure rail mount. It's the only rail mounted accessory I have that requires a tool to mount or remove. I'd prefer a quick mount but this adapter provides a very solid sling swivel mount for the bipod, better than others I've tried. May order a LaRue quick mount adapter at some point but I'm in no rush - this mount works very well.
Primary Arms M4 style multi-reticle red dot sight: After reading a lot of very positive comments about the Primary Arms brand optics over at AR15.com (and no negative comments) I decided to give this one a try. Dot reticle is 2 MOA (3 other reticles are selectable via rotary control). 1/4 MOA click adjustments for windage & elevation. Nitrogen purged, parallax-free, coated glass, shock & weather resistant. Operates on a single AA battery, 250 hours continuous use battery life (users are seeing upwards to 400 hours). 1/3 co-witness with BUIS. Integrated rail mount. $89 + shipping, 1 year replacement warranty. It is of Chinese manufacture though this isn't your typical AirSoft knock-off. These are weapons grade optics. So far I'm exceedingly pleased with this sight.
Primary Arms 1-4X illuminated scope & rail mount: Again, after reading similar positive reviews from users I decided to give one of their scopes a go. It's not a true 1X at minimum power, more like 1.5X. Crosshair with 2 MOA center dot. Dot may be illuminated for low light use (no daytime illumination). Specs are similar to the RDS described above - it's a shock and weather resistant weapons grade scope. Glass is impressive for the price. Gathers enough light to give a clear, bright sight picture on a dim, overcast day. The scope holds zero well when removed and re-mounted on the rifle. $119 for the scope, $19 for the mount + shipping. I'm going to order their 4.5-14X illuminated mil-dot scope and another rail mount next month - I'm very impressed with their optics!
