QUOTE (gotm4 @ June 22nd 2008 4:52 PM) My race gun, never ending evolution...... hey gotm4, can we get a 'close-up' of the laser engraving ? it looks good from a distance; but I’d really like to see some detail … if ya don’t mind?

My Cav-Aid lower arrived Friday: The plan had been to put together a lightweight with a 14.5" pencil barrel in a Les Baer upper, but that upper will not fit the Cav lower. So I put my Bushmaster Superlight on it; at 5 lbs. 11 oz. it made a friend out of me at the range yesterday:

I'm posting an update. I had the house to myself for a few hours last night so I took the opportunity to finish out my build. Well, finished for now... You know how it is. I finished the barrel. It was bare stainless so I gave it nice black finish. It came out very nice. I used a high-temp spray intended for mufflers and BBQs.

More pics of the same AR with my Leupold CQT scope mounted to an ARMS mount. The upper is one of my ADDAX GPU (Gas Piston Upper) Combat Carbine Lite Model that will be available very soon. I have logged over 2800 rounds on this particular upper/rifle with no jams or issues.
