hey gotm4, can we get a 'close-up' of the laser engraving ? it looks good from a distance; but I’d really like to see some detail … if ya don’t mind? thumb.gif

that looks awesome gotm4 … I just had this 'old-style' US Air Force emblem laser engraved on a ‘Retro’ project.

(before the engraving) ... this is the project as it stands right now … I’m just waiting on a barrel smile.gif

My Cav-Aid lower arrived Friday:

The plan had been to put together a lightweight with a 14.5" pencil barrel in a Les Baer upper, but that upper will not fit the Cav lower. So I put my Bushmaster Superlight on it; at 5 lbs. 11 oz. it made a friend out of me at the range yesterday:

I'm posting an update. I had the house to myself for a few hours last night so I took the opportunity to finish out my build. Well, finished for now... You know how it is. wink.gif
I finished the barrel. It was bare stainless so I gave it nice black finish. It came out very nice. I used a high-temp spray intended for mufflers and BBQs.

Haven't shot it yet. But, quality (in terms of fit and finish) is rock solid. The rail is DD 14.0 Lite.

More pics of the same AR with my Leupold CQT scope mounted to an ARMS mount.

The upper is one of my ADDAX GPU (Gas Piston Upper) Combat Carbine Lite Model that will be available very soon.

I have logged over 2800 rounds on this particular upper/rifle with no jams or issues.
