I posted this on another post that I put up asking about the HK Buffer I have.

I appreciate the looking out but I think I may have inadvertently confused everyone. I am got a couple of messages about this so I want to set the record straight. I am prior law enforcement and still work closely with the LE community so I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding thumb.gif

The rifle was originally fitted with an A2 FH but I asked and paid for the longer AAC Phantom (Along with AAC it has YHM stamped on it also...looks like YHM was making them for AAC) in order to make it legal as my paperwork has yet to arrive. The pictures were taken before the FH was pinned and welded. It was transferred to me on a form 1 through a dealer in St. Louis. I bought the gun off Gunbroker.com - here is a picture of the rifle on gun broker wearing the A2 prior to the AAC being installed.

I mentioned that it is 16.5 until my C&R comes in. What I mean specifically by that is - I will be putting a Noveske 10.5 on this rig once I get that.

Why do I need the C&R in order to make an SBR you ask? Why not pay for the tax stamp and do it right now? Unfortunately Missouri law dictates that I must be an FFL holder to legally posses an SBR/SBS/Silencer/Etc. I still have to get the stamp, but the FFL requirement has to be satisfied first.

My rookie ass was so excited to show off the rifle that I put incomplete information out there. It gave some of you heartburn and taught me a couple of things. First, that you guys are concerned with keeping things on the up and up which I like. And second that I better have my shat together before I post again or I'm gonna look stupid and possibly have a linear dump outside my door at 4:00 in the morning.

So being new here, please accept my apologies for all the drama.

Vadonw

Nice rifle. The guys here like to make sure everyone here has a legal rifle, and we know some people dont know any better. The last thing we need is people posting illegal weapons. Just more fuel for the anti-gun fire.

How do you like that ARMS front sight?

Both the upper and lower are Sun Devil. The SuperTac is mounted in an original Streamlight mount, which was a KZ (Klez Zion?) product from Israel. I think that BoTach tactical still carries them, but I won't order from them.

Here's mine along with it's big brother. The FAL was my first build and the AR my second. I built it with a Del-Ton upper assy and Spikes lower. I put the Adams Army piston kit as well as the AA carrier. It has a Matech rear BUIS and MI front. Optics are the Vortex Strikefire. I took it to the range today for the first time. Put 300 rds through it. I had a couple of malfunctions on the first mag, but after changing mags, I didn't have a problem. Even bumped fired a couple of mags and the bolt was still cool to the touch. Clean up was easy too. Next I'm going to get the DD lite 9.5 rail to finish it off and maybe a Magpul stock.

I like it so far...I think it folds better than the troy or magpul sights only because it gets out of the way a little better...it would be great of it was spring loaded like the magpul rear sight though.
