UPDATE ON RANGER AMMO @ http://www.ombexpress.com/ they have stopped selling Ranger ammo to civis. BUT WILL SELL TO LEO JUST HAVE TO SEND IN YOUR ID I CONFIRMED THIS TODAY SPOKE TO SHARON AND SENT IN MY ID NO PROBLEMS AND WHEN THEY DO HAVE IT IN STOCK IT IS ONLY A PENNY FOR SHIPPING UNLESS THEY CHANGE THAT POLICY FYI.

I wonder if this is just their policy, or if this is the policy of a distributor, or the manufacturer. First I've heard of it, though I've used ombexpress before for duty gear.

OMB, they said that Winchester told them to only sell Ranger Bond to LE only.

Quite awhile ago, someone here offered a deal on cases of Ranger LE ammo. I still have a bunch of that left. Guess I'll hold onto it.

We got a local guy here that carries it. They told him the same thing, LEOs only.

Here, in California, is a b**** to get good ammo. However, LAPD, still and soley uses "RANGER" ammo for both firearm and shotgun. As far as I'm concerned, RANGER is prime!

Ranger handgun ammo is great stuff, I carried it for years. My agency uses Gold Dot, so I use that now.

I do still use Ranger shotgun shells, however. smile.gif

I would say if you call them it also includes,under the “Homeland Security Act”, the traditional LE/Military sales to EMS/ fire fighters/ airline pilots/ retired LE/ retired Military and correction officers ,just as their handgun sales do.

Go over to Sportsmansguide.com. They have some good prices and many brands. They do not carry the Ranger you are looking for though, sorry.
