A woman danced after she cast her ballot at a polling office in Karachi, in southern Pakistan. In Peshawar, the provincial capital of the North-West Frontier Province, Islamic militants prevented many women from voting. Election officials estimated that only 523 of 6,431 women who were registered to vote at six polling stations had cast ballots. Photo: Akhtar Soomro

QUOTE(scotto @ February 2nd 2008 9:28 PM) Indian army soldiers arrive at the site of a gun battle in Drusoo village, 65 kilometers from Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 01, February 2008. Five suspected Islamist rebels were killed in different gun battles with government forces in India controlled Kashmir during the day, according to police That's not an AK, that's a VZ-58, which is closer to the German STG than it is to an AK. See? I ain't totally ignorant when it comes to these things.

QUOTE(POOR_MAN @ February 21st 2008 7:38 PM) Maybe yall can identify this nation, I can't Possibly Yugoslavia or Iraq. Notice the handguards. The handguards on the Zastava AKs were longer than the traditional AK. What makes me think another country is due to the AKs with standard handguards. Iraq bought tooling off of Zastava to make their own weapons, the Tabuk. After looking more, I do see some bulged trunions, either Iraq or Yugoslavia.

Here's a member Spetnaz during the "siege" at that school in Russia, in 2004. Weary relatives can only wait and watch as the siege continues into a second night.
