This is my first AK. Romanian WASR 10

This is after the first 140 rounds, Golden Tiger.

That definitely is out of the ordinary right there. Looks pretty cool though, bet you get a lot of comments about it. Mine's just plain Jane.

Since I'm the "new guy" here I thought you would like to see some of my builds.
All work done by me including wood refinishing. Kits were plentiful 5-6 years ago and inexpensive at that time.

This was my 1st build on a unfired Romanian "G" kit. OOW receiver. E. German side-fold. Chinese HG

As I got better in building the quality improved. Good build tools help. The learning curve to build AK's is not that steep and the satisfaction of completing a functioning firearm from a box of cut up parts is priceless.

Bulgarian AKM74. This was another new unissued kit. I left the original finish on everything except the receiver which I parked.
Russian scope mount and Russian Plum stock, HG and mag. "el cheapo red dot" that actually works pretty well.

Yugo M70AB2.
This kit was filthy. The unchromed barrel was filthy. It cleaned up and the rifling was still good.
NDS receiver. Wood stained w/tung oil finish. Entire gun was cold blued with Brownell's Oxpho-Blue.

Romanian RPK. NDS receiver, all metal parts parked, custom stain for the wood.
This one was the build from hell.
I had to strip everything from the barrel.
The barrel pin took days to get out. Bent the rear tunnion trying to press it off. Destroyed the rear sight.
But it was a challenge and it finally got done.

I've got more kits in the box and more complete AK's including a couple of pistol builds but I really need the time to finish them.
Hope you guys enjoyed the photo's

Very nice AK's on here. I love AK's but I'm too lazy and don't have enough time these days to take good photos.

Got a VEPR K, Yugo underfolder, golani, saiga 12, Yugo wood stock, and a Norinco 81-S that was imported in LA CA.
