flea.gif Really the 5.7x28 ammunition is not an expensive round !

At around $20.00 per 50 rounds it is cheaper than most pistol ammunition per 50 and you have a choice of SS195 and SS197 for this price.

If you find it for more than this cost - keep looking. It is not in short supply and it can be found for less than $20.00 if you just look.

Elite ammunition is another option. It is faster and probably more deadly. I don't have any because of the wait time. I also wonder whether FN's warranty would be void. It says you have to use only factory ammunition. So is Elite factory new ammunition or remanufactured ? I frankly just don't know ! I do know that I don't want to invalidate my warranty, especially considering that the guns are not cheap !!!

Tom,

I spoke with Dan at FN about the warranty and he did mention that shooting reloads was not advised and would void the warranty. However Glock, Sig, Colt etc all say the same thing. Its a CYA thing if you ask me.

As for Elite's ammo, I cannot personally contest to the quality as I have never handled it, but lots of customers here and a shat load over at the 57 forums speak nothing but great things about it. I may get some eventually, but Im on a budget and have to go with the SS197SR right now.
