40 s&w ...summer/winter loads

What 40 S & W load would I use in summer/ or winter? I know there would be a difference in layers of clothing being worn but I haven't got it figured out yet which ammo to use when.....

Or, should I forget the seasons and stick with one type?

As per your question I would use the 165 or 180 grain Bonded Defense JHP from DT, either should be great for defensive use from a 40S&W pistol.

If you think you need more penetration in the winter due to extra layers of clothes you could use the 180gr Controlled Expansion JHP
