Ok, pick your .40 - the non-alcoholic type.

I'm not going to convince you of anything. In one post you said you've got the better .357. The next says you're sticking with the .40. You need to convince yourself which you're getting.

Remember, you're dealing with the .40 and .357 here. Get another barrel and have both...it's easy with these two calibers.

Ok so my question to you BC is, Which platform should i get the .40 or .357 SIG for changing the barrels which firearm can take more wear and tear, because the .357 SIG is 40,000 PSI and the .40 is only 35,000. So should i get the M&P357 and then just buy a .40 S&W barrel or the other way around?

I'd buy the .40 and get the .357 later, if you decide you really need it.

I think this is a great test showing the .40 S&W Hydrastatic Shock and Ballistic Pressure Waves over 2 other bullets, FBI testing.

Shows the PSI (Pounds Per Square Inch).

The 135 gr .40 is well above 1500 PSI, Looks like 1700+

The 115 gr .357 SIG is about over 1100 PSI

And the 147gr 9mm is just below 500 PSI

So in shot the .40 creates the most pressure and the best man stopper of atleast these three rounds. I am sure there are better loads for the .40's .357 SIGs and 9mm's. But all around the .40 is one hell of a bullet better than the 357 sig and 9mm, whatever the load is.

My .40 wasn't even listed in the poll. :(

I went with the P99 as it is the closest to my Smith and Walther SW99. I love this pistol, it weighs almost nothing, can be taken down into four parts in 10 seconds, has single action and double action trigger, de-cocking pin and goes BANG every time. (notice the ambi mag release on the trigger guard)

Sig 229 gets my vote. I have a Glock 23 but I prefer the Sig cause it is way more accurate, better trigger, and Ive never had any problems with it unlike the Glock 23

But then I got my Addax Gas piston AR. Sure I still have to keep a few small replacement parts, but I'll let you kick me in the balls for every malfunction I have with my Addax GPU, thats how reliable it is!

So far we are at, hold on, let me check..... ZERO!
