Went to Heartland Park 2 weeks ago and finally did a track day. Had tons of fun and learned so much. Needless to say, street riding has nothing even remotely close anymore.

and Stu, I put sliders on just for you

Nope, no sliders. All I have are my old street leathers. I did manage to grind the outside corners of my boots off at the toes. I was way of the bike, but as of yet I have never put my knee to pavement.

Glad you had fun!

If you're like I was, you'll do a few more of those and then be "forced" to start racing too. thumb.gif

After doing that a while, it seems like you're just creeping along at a snails pace when you ride on the street. Track riding/racing took nearly _all_ the fun out of street riding for me.

Still like dirt riding, but that's sort of the same deal. No need for speed limits in the dirt or on a road racing track. smile.gif

Keep at it! As you're finding out, you learn _much_ more on the track, and at a much quicker rate, than you can ever learn just riding on the street.
