My favorites. The Colt is my alltime favorite shooter. Bought it @ a gun show about 1985 or so. Used, but you couldn't tell
By looking at it. I still have the original box & wood grips. The trick work was by Bob Cogan when Accurate Plating & Weaponry
Was still in Clearwater, Fl. They have moved a couple of times since then. Alabama now I think. If you Like 1911 style guns,
This one is tough to beat.

Here is my latest project. Started out as a Stainless Taurus PT 1911AR.
I dehorned all sharp edges from the slide & frame.
I replaced the sloppy barrel bushing with an Ed Brown I fitted into place.
Polished the pivot surfaces and metal to metal surfaces of the sear and hammer.
I replaced the main spring housing with a combo main spring housing/mag funnel.
I replaced the grips with a set of double diamond Rosewood that are cut flat on the bottom for MSH use.
I am very pleased with how it came out and how accurately it shoots.

My custom build/EDC gun. Every part hand fitted by me.

It wasn't a "drop in" build at all. Some milling, frame blending, LOTS of stoning, polishing, measuring, trial, and error.

This cut me open across the webbing with one shot. Trial 1 = Error 1.

It's a beautiful thing about 1911s. You can ge in with a base gun and build what you want.

Yeah, I've been waiting to build her up. For the most part I'm looking at Fuzion Firearms. Though I'm thinking about going elsewhere for a barrel, not sure where though.
