ptechjpjr, Welcome to 10mmTalk!

Why doesn't all the manufactures make 10mm pistols? Seems some are trying, who knows may HK could step up too!
Best of luck!

With the USP's dual spring recoil system (which was engineered to allow sustained firing of +P .45ACP ammo without problem) it would make an excelent 10mm platform. I've daydreamed about a 10mm USP Expert or Mark-23 many times.
Our issue .45ACP ammo is Federal +P 230 JHP that pushes 930 FPS outa my USP. It loves this stuff. I've put more than 2000 rounds of it through this weapon (which has somewhere around 15K total rounds of various types through it without problem). Guys have had problems with Sig P220's and this ammo, including parts breakage. When firing this ammo I can actualy feel the difference in the functioning of my VS standard pressure and target ammo. I can feel the secondary spring compress much more with the +P. With other .45ACP pistols I can feel the abruptly slide smack the frame at full recoil. Not so with the USP. If the breachface and extractor issues could be dealt with to my satifaction I'd be all over this conversion on a USP (or a factory 10mm USP of course). Probably will experiment with .45 Super or .460 Rowland in a USP Expert at some point instead though...
I'm always watching the H&K new product announcements!
