Spotted this one in the latest copy of American Handgunner.

The Gaboon... it's a bit odd, but basically a 1911. Offered in 10mm.
LST -- Lightning Strike Technologies.

I ran a search and it didn't pick up anything. Has it been mentioned here yet?

I don't think it has. Glad for the link. I my google-fu was incapable of finding the website.

I really like many of the features, not the least of which is the ability to clear the action and press-check the weapon with the safety on.

I just shot them an email asking if a 2011 frame was possible in a 5" Gaboon.

And, got a prompt response. He has built this gun on a 2011 frame before, and has shot the gun in competition. That price is $2250 at this time, and 50% is needed down. Delivery time is currently 6-8 weeks.

LST Inc. Image

That's one dead sexy gun. It kinda like what would happen if the 1911 and Makarov mated and had a nearly unnaturely attractive child. thumb.gif

Parents and politicians blame inhuman objects like guns, games, and movies for human behavior. Perhaps they should bypass the guns and games and take notice to the mirror. In it, they shall find both the root and the answer of their problems.

Uh....
Why would you take all of that mass OFF of the slide?
Personally I wish they would add mass (like leaving off the ball cuts on the slides) so that particular one makes little sense to me for a 10mm....

Generally that is done on competition guns to lower the slide cycle time.

It is a trade off on an energetic round like the 10mm, since it will result in more energy reaching the frame in the form of battering, and more recoil for the shooter to deal with.

Makes sense, but I think I would just chamber a competition pistol in 40
