Ok I've got some video of The Double tap 180gr JHP, 165gr JHP and the Winchester 175 gr Silver tip vs. a car windshield. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks

Great stuff...as usual grappler! thumb.gif
Watch out zombies! really.gif
Out of curiosity, did you chrono those loads to compare them to what the velocity on the box actually says?
Some people are reporting that DT's advertised velocities are less than advertised.

Still, those tests clearly show the 10mm will get the job done.

I would like to see a comparison test between the 9, 45 and 10mm using DT's or Win. ST's ammo. oh yea.gif thumb.gif

Yowza! right through the safety glass. I wonder how the other calibers would do?

And might I add that these tests are with hollow point bullets, not hard cast...which typically penetrate more. smile.gif

Hey, man! Thanks for the tests. Very impressive..... (I've actually done refrigerator tests with my 10mm, as well, but I didn't tape it. Similar experiences. That 10mm penetrates way more than you'd think. I also shot a old truck broadside from my treestand (don't worry, it was an old rust bucket in a field.... nobody owns it) and my DT 200gr XTP hunting load basically went through one door and out the other.... that thing punches through a truck!

That's impressive!!

I'd like to see a windsheild test across the board from the 9mm to the .45

I always thought bullets (from what I heard) wouldn't go through windsheilds..

I can attest, those 200 grain XTP's have no mercy on chronographs..

"I always thought bullets (from what I heard) wouldn't go through windsheilds.."

Seriously?

I've seen .22lr bullets penetrate windshields. Any service caliber pistols will Swiss cheese a car pretty well.
